What is BackSlash?

Welllll, we were originally called Eclectica, but then I saw that a friend of mine was using the name for something else.  Then The Jerk suggested Randomonia Part 2 because he originally had his own radio show called Randomonia (Part 1) on Rutgers's 90.3 radio station The Core.  So then we called our show Randomonia Pt. 2/Eclectica (or Eclectica/Randomonia Pt. 2...depending on who said it first).  The second component was the crazy variety of music that we play which included Hip Hop/R & B/Classic Rock/Oldies/Pop Rock/Indie Rock/Punk Rock/Soundtracks.  So whenever we had to attempt to describe our show we ended up saying slash a whole bunch of times until The Jerk candidly suggested we call the show Slash because of all the slashes.  I took "Slash" and added "The" to it to make it sound more...title...y.  So then the show was called The Slash, but then we changed that to BackSlash because it sounded cooler...and The Slash sounded like a bad horror movie.  So, yea, BackSlash; we play the old, the new, the good, the bad...and everything in between....Saturdays at 11:00AM on 90.3 WKNJ- The Sounds of Kean University.
